Top BBQ Parks in Los Angeles-*Urban Area*, USA(TWO)
ECHO PARK LAKE
751 Echo Park Ave,Los Angeles, CA 90026
Not far from downtown, ECHO PARK LAKE was just remodeled last year, with a new look, and has long been a regular destination for recreation and entertainment for nearby Chickens. Boating, fishing, picnicking, or even just lying on the lawn reading a book are all great fun. Barbecue equipment can be rented at the nearby recreation center.
Griffith Park
4730 Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90027
Griffith Park is a big park, and the Griffith Observatory is the most famous one. A long time ago, there was a Griffith Zoo, but it was closed after the Los Angeles Zoo was built. The place is now called "Old Zoo", but it is a good place for picnics: tables, barbecue grills, large lawns... and there are many trees to provide shade, so you can just bring a tablecloth and sit on the grass for a picnic.
Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
4100 South La Cienega Boulevard (Los Angeles, CA 90056) in Baldwin Hills
The west side is great for BBQ's, with BBQ pavilions, BBQ pits, and tables galore. It's also a great place for hiking, with panoramic views of downtown and the valley of the SGV area in the distance.
